of 23rd. instant relative to the re-constitution of the Appeal

Court of this Colony. In accordance with your request I have

telegraphed to the Secretary of State for the Colonies as

follows:- "The Chief Justice requests opportunity for criticis-

ing scheme referred to in your telegram of 14th. September

before final settlement.
